Node.js compatibility

ZenFS tracks Node.js fs API compatibility using both the API documention and pull requests (since Node.js v4).

Which pull requests have been implemented, and which don't apply, is recorded in node-compat.json.

As of v2.9.0, ZenFS covers 300/300 (100%) of the documented API and 626/626 (100%) of the pull requests in Node.js v27.0.0.

ZenFS implements 300 of the 300 APIs documented for Node.js v27.0.0.

Missing ones will show up here in the future.

Pull requests

Node.js v27.0.0 includes 626 pull requests that change fs. Of those:

  • 200 have been implemented in ZenFS
